12/24/2023 0 Comments Embrace health![]() At the end of the academic year, each school will provide feedback to ACHD about uptake rates, vaccination demographics and suggestions for improvement of the program in future years.īy using a combination of authoritative messaging from campus health care providers, as well as teams of student advocates to socialize and encourage vaccination, the Embrace Health HPV Campaign provides information which is accessible, trustworthy and motivational. The college or university will then be responsible for implementing the program on their campus-including the administration of three HPV doses-with minimal assistance from the ACHD. The ACHD will distribute the Campaign Toolkit to interested colleges and universities in Allegheny County. The Embrace Health HPV Campaign is a complete, self-contained program to be carried out entirely on college campuses. For our "Embrace Health" campaign, my partner Theora Kvitka and I decided to target the critical "catch-up" demographic- college students on college campuses. She mentioned that quality services rendered by the hospital have endeared it to many health seekers, saying that the scope of its Radiological Services has now been expanded in addition to the Electronic Medicine initiative of the hospital.For the final project in our Visual Communications class at Carnegie Mellon University, we were commissioned by the Allegheny County Health Department (ACHD) to develop a campaign to help increase HPV vaccination rates in the county. These include enrollment and consultation, treatment of common ailments such as Malaria, Hypertension, Diabetes, Dental care, Ultrasound Scan, Radiological and Laboratory Investigations, Neonatal Services, Obstetrics and Gynecological Care and Delivery, all within the scope of the coverage of the Health Insurance Scheme”, the Medical Director disclosed. “RGH provides enrollees with some of the best healthcare benefits under the Scheme. She stated that the Lagos State Health Scheme (LSHS) team at the hospital remains committed to ensuring that all enrollees have access to good, quality and affordable healthcare under the initiative. Odutayo said, “We have quite a large number of enrollees who have registered and are already enjoying the services provided by the scheme, by God’s Grace, we hope to add more enrollees under the scheme”. While describing the Lagos State Health Insurance Scheme as a safety net for solving health issues without burning a hole in the pocket, the Medical Director invited more enrollees to register with the hospital, particularly the elderly. She averred that with the launch of “Ilera Eko” project by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Randle General Hospital is also at the forefront of advocacy to ensure that more Lagosians embrace the initiative. Odutayo, who made the call recently while reviewing the activities of the scheme since its introduction at the hospital in 2019, stated that 8,702 residents have so far registered with the hospital, being one of the facilities approved for the scheme, noting, however, that only 1,153 have so far accessed the health services.
